It is Scout Ski days at Copper again.
Every year we come up for this event because it is so cheap.
This year I decided to bring Emilee along and teach her to ski. She's never been. I haven't been for about 14 years. Hopefully, it is just like riding a bike. (I can hope, right?)
Derek brought along his twin buddies Travis and Thomas. It was their first time snowboarding. I think I will be spending the day on the bunny hill. What do you think?
Here is Emilee all ready to go and her first time on skiis.
On the ski lift for the first time. Emilee does not like heights. She wasn't too keen about this.
Look at her go! This was her third time down.
We decided to take a lunch break around 11:30. I was pooped already. Although I have to say that skiing was just like riding a bike. I did great. Emilee has caught on amazingly. She is having alot of fun. But our tummies are growling and our feet hurt.
While walking back to the lunch area, we ran into these two... Megan and Jonathon Lloyd. I knew they were coming today but this was the first we saw them.
After a hearty lunch and a nice break, we got our junk on and went back to the bunny slope.
Emilee and I went down and she never fell. She was so excited. While I was talking to Derek I hear "Hey mom, look up here." I look up and there is Emilee by herself on the lift.
Guess she's not scared any longer.
Travis came and snowboarded. Unfortunately, we never saw him until the end of the day.
Smash and Megan met up with us at the end of the day. We skied with them for about 30 minutes and then it was time to go.
What a gorgeous day! We had a blast. Emilee wants to come back again as soon as possible. I am thankful that we have this opportunity to come up to the mountains at least once a year and have some fun.
I'm also very thankful that I never fell and broke anything. (hee hee)
